I was going for the garden look, flowers surrounded by greenery, but you are right, it's just toooo much green & not enough contrast. I was planning on making one for my table, & although I will keep the flowers the same, I will definitely look for a fabric with more contrast to replace the green gingham. Hoepfully then I will also be able to find a binding to suit & the puckering won't be an issue.

Thanks again,
JanJan Quigleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12577921789461699471noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6576527875534706428.post-16718314978865549912013-10-22T05:09:50.810+11:002013-10-22T05:09:50.810+11:00I sure don't want to be the person to say no! ...I sure don't want to be the person to say no! It's a great design, but maybe it's too much green? Not enough contract between the green in the hexagons and the green background. But then, I am definitely a modern quilter these days, so the traditional stuff doesn't appeal to me as much as it used to. I love white in my quilts these days. You've done beautiful work, and it was a labor of love as a gift, so I'd give it away, and move on. Maybe make another one for someone else and try some different fabrics?
