They’re Ba-ack!!!

The quilts I sent over to America to be photographed for Quilter’s Newsletter have returned with a copy of the issue they appear in.

These are the quilts:

Shabby Chic Hearts

My Crazy Heart

A Stitch in Time

If you would like to make ‘My Crazy Heart’ or ‘A Stitch in Time’ they are available on my website:

I’m pleased to have them back as ‘Shabby Chic Hearts’ normally hangs over our bed & I’ve missed it!!!

Just a chance thing really, Linda, a regular on the Quilting DownUnder list I belong to, asked if there was anyone out there with original stitchery quilt projects. Linda was planning on writing an article about Aussie quilters who use stitchery. I had a few projects & decided to email pics off to Linda to see if they might suit. They did, so being the queen of ufo’s I set about finishing two of them off. Then I headed down to Melbourne to do some house hunting when an email came through, could the quilts be sent immediately. Uh oh, well I finished them but didn’t quite get the labels on them.  Luckily dh stayed home so he got to find them pack them up & organise courier pick up. There were quite a few ladies involved & we all filled in a questionnaire about how we do our stitcheries. Linda put together an article & voila we are in print. This is the first, & probably the last time, I’ll have my work in an American mag & it feels good.

New Blog Background!!!

I finally worked out how to change from the boring grey I had & it was so easy!!! There is a link in the top left corner to the source. There are some lovely backgrounds, all free, with step-by-step instructions to put them on your blog.

Square Eyes!!!!

I’m sure ds & I have square eyes, we’ve watched so much tv lately. I’ve been listing everything that doesn’t move on eBay so it’s good to have something interesting to watch while listing. Listing is such a yawn!!!! At least he’s getting some English history he’s had a taste of the Regency Period, post WW1, the 1950’s & the 1960’s.

The boys bought me the boxed set of Coronation Street in the 1960’s for my last birthday & we finally watched it, all 7 dvd’s!!! Mother’s Day I got some great dvd’s, I chose well, lol. I got Pride & Prejudice, Lilies & a boxed set of 4 Agatha Christie movies. I especially wanted the 1980 version of the Mirror Crack’d with Angela Lansbury.

Mum came over for Mother’s Day & gave me a pressie, though she insisted it wasn’t for Mother’s Day. Two crocheted rugs, both very pretty. The temps have dropped so I was glad of the extra warmth. Of course Rowan pinched the bright one when I went in for a shower so I go the other one out.
