Colourful Friday

Yay colourful Friday is back for 2011. Thanks Robyn!!

This week’s it’s My Favourite Colour/s.

Well my fave colour is aqua/turquoise but just lately I’ve been attracted to colour combinations rather than just a single colour, so I thought I’d share my latest project, which is rather colourful.

lucy base Hopefully this will become a beautiful bag like Lucy’s on Attic 24.

I’m on my 4th attempt, I could not get my bottom flat!!!! Well the bottom of my bag that is. :-) This is the best I could do, not perfect but you’d be impressed if you’d seen the previous attempts, lol.

I’ve finished the bottom & am now working my way up the sides. It’s actually much brighter than this in real life the lt. pink has washed out.

lucy woolI knew there was a reason I bought all those odd balls when I saw them on sale over the years. This is only the tip of the iceberg I have several plastic containers full of oddballs. :-)

Hello Jan :-)
This is really fantastic and I love it!
I know exactly what you mean about colour combos.. I'm presently 'doing' the same.
'flat bottom' *giggle*
Love those colours!!
Happy Colourful Friday again :-)

Hi Jan.
Love all the gorgeous colours. They look so good together! And I love the Attic 24 blog too. Wish I knew how to crochet!
Sometimes it's tempting just to leave the balls of wool on display together as the colours look so pretty.
This is going to look so good in a bag. Good luck!

Really pretty, Jan. Reminds me of the colorings we used to crochet granny squares back in the 70s! You'll have a fun, retro bag.

Love it. Good luck with the project. Attic 24 is one of my favorite crochet sites to visit and drool :) I gave away a lot of my "odd balls" to charity but it looks like my box is mysteriously filling up again !!!!!

Are you only referring to wool when you mention odd balls.....'cause my family is full of 'em!

Thanks everyone, amazing how so many of us have found Lucy of Attic 24 & love her blog. Luckily I learned to crochet as a kid & like riding a bike, I've never forgotten how. If you don't know how, find someone who does & get them to teach you. It really is very easy & very enjoyable. Julie I felt that being an oddball myself accounted for the attraction. :-))))
