Pressie #1

Like most people I made New Year’s Resolutions & one of them was to make all gifts this year.

So here’s pressie #1, a bag for my dear friend Helen. Helen incidentally loves everything Autumnal, which made this an easy project. I didn’t have to buy a thing. The pattern is the one I won on Linda’s Flourishing Palms blog. I did alter the handle pattern.

Very nicely done, Jan! Your fabric choices sound like just the ticket to please your friend. Now don't you think you should make one of those for yourself?!

ooh! hello!!!
I love your resolution, just like mine almost, to make your gifts! What a fun present, making a bag... I can't sew and I think that if i could, I'd never be able to work because alllllllll of my time would then be taken up! I just had a lovely look through your blog at all of your happy colourful projects, lovely!
Yes, nasty acrylic could be aggravating your poor Mum's wrists :O(
oh and I love the owls in your header, very cute!!!

Thanks Linda, I will make one for me, it's on my list. I'm currently working on an embroidered wall hanging round robin, then I have another birthday gift to make.
Thanks Alice, I've always been into sewing, with occasional side steps into knitting & crocheting, but since seeing your blog & others of keen knitters & crocheters I'm thinking my sewing might take a back seat soon. :-)
